A Old Dominion Athletic Conference is an athletic conference which competes in the NCAA's Division Terzetto. Its member teams come placed primarily within Virginia, with more members inside North Carolina and Washington, DC. Single a American Southwest Conference in Texas is a big multi-sport conference.
History
A Conference was founded around 1975 as the Virginia College Conference. In January One, 1976, the title was changed to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. A 1976-77 year was a foremost where championships were offered. Within 1982-83, women's sports were added. Around 1988, Virginia Wesleyan was added as a member, and within 1990 Guilford became a number 1 member placed outside the state of Virginia. Inside 1999, Catholic was admitted as a football-only member.
A just school to keep around left a Conference has been Mary Baldwin College which left to join the Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference in 1999.
A Conference serves when a hosts to the Section III championships around football & men's basketball, two of which are then held around Salem, Virginia.
